PETALING JAYA: Malaysian students will be allowed to return to their university campuses in phases beginning March 1, 2021.
This follows a decision by the National Security Council, which has approved a proposal by the higher education ministry.
Higher Education Minister Noraini Ahmad said in a statement students from red zones must arrive at their campuses 10 days earlier so they can first be quarantined.

Meanwhile, for universities located in Sabah and Sarawak, student intake will be carried out according to the procedures set by the respective state governments.
She also said new and existing international students of private and public universities would be allowed to enter the country as early as Jan 1, except for those who are coming from the United Kingdom (UK).
