Desert Sunrise High School Principal Marlene Armstrong has resigned, Maricopa Unified School District officials confirm. “Assistant Principal Phil Verdugo is the acting principal for the remainder of the school year,” MUSD spokesperson Mishell Terry said today.School district officials declined to share details.“All personnel matters are confidential,” Terry said. “Our primary focus remains on providing an uninterrupted, high-quality education to our students.
