HEWITT, TX — As Jamie Blanek spent another night in Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Temple, dozens of her friends and family gathered in the parking lot outside, lifting up prayers of healing.
Blanek was airlifted to the hospital Saturday night after she was hit by a car at the corner of Chapel Road and Old Lorena Road just outside of Hewitt. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, she was assisting motorists from another crash when she was struck. ....
