NEWBERRY, MI An angler who went missing in Luce County Monday has been found in good condition. The 64-year-old man from Free Soil, Michigan failed to meet up with his fishing partner and was reported missing around 8 p.m. The Luce County Sheriff’s Office established an incident command post near the intersection of County Road 421 and the Tahquamenon River. DNR Conservation Officers kayaked the river until 1 a.m. Tuesday, then suspended the search. At 7:30 a.m. sheriff’s deputies and Border Patrol agents joined the river search. A Michigan State Police helicopter arrived at 1 p.m. and within 20 minutes located the man. It took the conservation officers 45 minutes to reach the missing man, who was dehydrated but otherwise in good condition. ....
