Mustakeem Khalid, who had been suffering from a mental disorder, vanished in 2016 due to the effects of typhoid fever. His mother, Shaheen Akhtar, had previously filed a missing person report with the Civil Lines police, stating that her son, often leaving home due to depression, had not returned since 2016.
