The idea of diagonal parking along Main Street emerged during the April 3 council meeting when concerns about the loss of parking that would result from the streetscape bump outs were addressed.
“I thought we were done with this weird selling stuff to the Chamber, and them giving it away after the Casey’s lot... It happened again,” Hanson said. “People call me all the time asking me about the deals, and I can’t answer them.”
The newspaper’s physical offices are now located at 400 N. Rowley St. Customers can enter the offices using the south door and can utilize Fourth Avenue’s on-street parking to access the building.
According to City Attorney Justin Johnson, state law requires the final offer of the lot to be approved by the council.
