New residents complain about absence of drainage facilities Vadodara: Bhayli grew faster than any other ‘outgrowth areas’ and is one of the poshest neighbourhoods in the city today, with prices of residential units running in crores of rupees. Back in 2005, when the village’s population was 5,000 the Bhayli gram panchayat had laid a drainage network which would cater to its need for decades to come. But 15 years down the line, the village’s empty plots today get flooded with effluents that has turned these into nurseries for mosquitoes. The drainage network is intact even today, but the accumulation of stinky dirty water is the result of absence of proper disposal of drainage water that is pumped out of hundreds of residential units that have come up on the outskirts of Bhayli village.

According to police officials, the other three arrested people include a policyholder, an insurance agent and employee in the administration department of a private hospital. They used bogus medical records of two people to the tune of 4.5 lacs.
Vadodara: The Gotri police on Thursday booked four persons, including a doctor, for faking a Covid-19 report to claim insurance money. This is the second such case of cheating booked in the city in last 10 days. The police said that it will verify all the documents and start investigations in the case. Dr Bijal Shah, who runs a pathology lab in Chhani, told the police that on January 8, he got Covid positive reports of two persons namely Mitesh Prajapati and Jyotika Prajapati. When Shah checked the lab records, he found that the reports he gave for the accused duo in December last year were negative.
