Wisconsin is a nine seed in this year’s tournament and faces eight seed North Carolina Friday at 6 p.m. on CBS. It’s a tough draw, as if the Badgers get by the Tar Heels, they’ll almost certainly play one-seed Baylor next round. Greg Gard says the other eight Big Ten teams who were selected may have played a part in Wisconsin’s seeding. “I knew we wouldn’t be the 8-9 game with [one seeds] Michigan or Illinois, we wouldn’t be the 7-10 with [two seeds] Ohio State or Iowa, so it probably minimized where they could put us,” Gard said.
