The public was invited to tour its workshops and learn about the organization's mission and operations.
At the Aug. 2 Rotary Club of Kirksville meeting, Gary Moreau, executive director of Mobility Worldwide MO - Columbia, spoke about Mobility Worldwide. The organization provides hand-powered mobility carts to individuals in developing countries who are unable to walk. The carts are built by volunteers at Mobility Worldwide's Columbia facility then shipped to many countries around the world. The carts are provided to needy individuals at no charge, with the costs being covered by donated materials and cart sponsorships. More information on this project is available at giftofmobility.org.
