Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the Supreme Court verdict in the Ram Mandir has showed India's secularism
New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said it is very unfortunate that there is a debate on the caste of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has a habit of telling lies publicly and repeating those thereafter.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of falsely claiming to belong to the Other Backward Caste (OBC) and alleged that he was actually born in the General caste. Gandhi made these remarks during a public rally in Odisha, where he urged the public to inform BJP workers about the Prime Minister's deception. This comes in response to PM Modi's self-proclaimed title of 'sabse bada OBC' in Parliament and his criticism of the Congress party's treatment of leaders from backward communities.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav indirectly commented on PM Modi's caste, saying some people are only backward by certificate, not by birth.
