Nagaland Advisor Tongpang Ozukum launches excavator and ambulance services

MOKOKCHUNG A dedication programme of an excavator backhoe and ambulance services of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) under 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency was held at the residence of advisor of Water Resources, Tongpang Ozukum, in Mokokchung town on Friday. Addressing the gathering, the advisor informed that it was a long cherished dream initiated in good faith. He appealed to the constituency people to use the services with utmost care and foster unity and cooperation among the people through this initiative. He informed that the vehicles would cover entire Mokokchung district and provide services to people in need with nominal charges. “Particularly during monsoon everyone is after the excavators, I believe with this machinery in place in our constituency, it would really help our people,” he said. Nagaland: Dr. Thurs stresses on challenges, focus areas of NHUM

DIMAPUR The state mission director of National Health Mission (NHM), Dr. Ritu Thurr, stated that the main goal of NHM and National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) is to provide comprehensive primary healthcare system accessible to the public, especially the vulnerable section of the society. The NHM mission director also stated that NUHM’s main challenges and focus areas included the urban population including the vulnerable (migratory and floating) population, poor sanitation, vector-borne diseases, poor housing system and over congested health units, stated an update from the office the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur. Dr. Thurr stated this during the inaugural programme of NUHM Nagaland state review meeting held at Hotel Cedar in Dimapur on Friday.
