Today, just after midnight, Mondlo police officers received information about a suspect in possession of illegal firearms at Mondlo. An operation was put in place and the police proceeded to KwaPhumeceleni at C Section in Mondlo. A search was conducted and the suspect was found in possession of three illegal firearms. The 25-year-old suspect was placed under arrest. The firearms will be subjected to ballistic testing. He is appearing before the Nquthu Magistrates Court today.
