AEG's Fame Forest Debuts the World's First Digital Mandela of Inclusion ...

With his brand new album, Critterland, folksinger Willi Carlisle invites his listeners to reckon with the inevitability of human suffering and grow in love; all through joining together in song. And Carlisle’s songs are ripe for a singalong. Out today via Signature Sounds, Critterland has already earned praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Associated Press, SPIN, and more, and garnered fans in fellow songwriters BJ Barham and Tyler Childers.

Folk music's Willi Carlisle suggestively reminds us of our place in the animal kingdom as we are just critters doing the best we can with 'Critterland'.

Willi Carlisle's folk music focuses on the folks in the shadows of the hills and hollers, or, as he calls it, “Critterland.” “They think I’m a queer and a communist,” Carlisle’s protagonist in the title cut laments, his rifle ready for an apocalypse. The Joplin, Missouri-based Carlisle uses his literary background to craft fluent lyrics that make for a wild ride across harsh land; there’s a reason he references all-terrain tires.
