The West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission approved the budget for Cason Family Park on Thursday morning, signaling the official beginning of the community’s first new park in more than 20 years.
Cason Family Park is a project in the works for well over a year now, with an additional 13.81 acres added to the future park space in 2021.
The city is buying 13.9 acres next to the original land.
