PRINCETON The owners of Red Apple Farm had been wanting to open a ski-thru service window on Wachusett Mountain for the past several years. But it took the COVID-19 pandemic to make it a reality, says owner Al Rose. Employees of the popular Phillipston farm have been selling coffee, cider and doughnuts inside the Bullock Lodge, which is located about a third of the way up the mountain, for several years. But the current restrictions and safety guidelines put in place as a result of the pandemic created a need for the implementation of an outside order and pickup window system, so that skiers and employees could maintain proper social distancing. ....

Two stores that currently reside in the Wausau Center Mall, Maurices and The Buckle will be headed to Rib Mountain in 2021. Rib Mountain Director of Community Development Jared Wehner says the two stores will be moving into the former Dollar Tree and Pier 1 store spaces. Maurices will move to the former Dollar Tree location as they relocated to a new building this fall. The store is located in the strip mall that includes Best Buy. The Buckle will move to the former Pier 1 stand-alone building, which is north of Olive Garden along Rib Mountain Drive. Pier 1 went out of business earlier this year. ....
