The political temperature is already on the rise in Madhya Pradesh as the BJP has pulled a surprise by fielding its big guns for the upcoming state assembly election. This move comes as the party faces tough competition from the Congress in the state.
"A government of this alliance will be formed in Madhya Pradesh to end the atrocities on Dalits, tribals and women. This will also end the dictatorial and capitalist rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress and the poor will get justice," the two parties said in a press statement issued later.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Madhya Pradesh on September 30 to participate in the party's Jan Aakrosh Yatra. The yatra aims to express the grievances of the public and highlight issues faced by the youth, women, farmers, employees, and common people to the state government. The Congress party has been conducting this yatra from seven different regions in the state since September 19, covering a distance of 11,400 kilometers.
