Murder of grandmother: man for trial
A Co Antrim man is to go on trial later this year for the murder of his 82-year-old grandmother. Alan Gingles was formally arraigned before the Crown Court yesterday, where he appeared via a video-link from Maghaberry Prison. The 33-year-old pleaded not guilty to the murder of his grandmother Elizabeth (Betty) Dobbin last March. The elderly woman was found dead in the home they shared.
