Holiday site and shop providing 'valuable service' for West Cumbria mooted
Fresh plans have been submitted as staycations look set to be popular in the coming months A tourism boost could be in the offing for a West Cumbria village if plans for a holiday site get the go ahead. In a vision submitted to Copeland Borough Council, it has been proposed that land adjacent to Partfield House at Drigg would become a motorhome site with a number of timber cabins providing self-contained holiday cabins with site shop and communal shower block. The applicant, a Mr & Mrs Usher, stated that the site would provide a "valuable service to the village and localised area".
