HISTORY groups are continuing to run events and meetings online. Meetings hosted by both the West Dorset Group of the Somerset and Dorset Family History Society (WDG) and the Bridport History Society will be going ahead over Zoom this month. The first of these meetings will be hosted by WDG on Saturday, May 8 from 1.30pm. The meeting is entitled ‘Coker Canvas: The Textile Industry of the Somerset/Dorset Border’ and will see Richard Simms talking about his latest book involving the textile industry in the area.
