To help end a leading cause of illness and death in the southern African country of Zambia, a Rotary (www.Rotary.org) club-led initiative aims to save and improve lives by empowering community health workers to test, diagnose and treat malaria. Minister of Health, Jonas Chanda says the country has continued to record reduced numbers of COVID-19 admission cases. Dr Chanda said the cases are improving from statistical highs of 510 cases per day at the peak of the second wave of the pandemic in January 2021 to as low as 183 cases today. The Mansa Rotary Club has sourced 6 Million US dollars to be channeled towards the Malaria Fight in the country. Mansa Rotary Club President Charles Sichinga reveals that part of the funds is coming from Bill gate foundation and the World vision.
