The group is hosting its annual Holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. Visitors will be able to tour the porches and lawns of six homes in the Riverside Avondale area — plus three businesses — all decorated in their best seasonal style. This is only the second year the group has hosted the event, and committee members were forced to get creative in adapting to the restrictions of an ongoing pandemic. According to Kimberly Barrett, tour co-chair, the biggest challenge came in securing designers to donate their time and create a theme for each home on the tour.
