TRAI recommends MSOs be allowed to carry 15 platform channels

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended that Multi-System Operators (MSOs) should be allowed to carry a maximum of 15 platform channels.
Platform channels are channels or services offered by MSOs, local cable operators (LCOs)and DTH operators exclusively to their subscribers as value-added services.
In its recommendations sent to the I& B Ministry, TRAI said it agrees with Ministry’s view that platform services or channels should be defined as programs transmitted by distribution platform operators exclusively to their own subscribers and should not include DD channels, registered TV channels or foreign TV channels. ....

ISLAMABAD: The ugly face of India was once again exposed, while Pakistan s stance on the Pulwama attack proved to be true as it has emerged that India had its soldiers killed and then blamed Pakistan for it.
According to local media reports, Pulwama drama has been exposed, Pakistan has declared Pulwama attack as conspiracy as evidence of Pulwama attack has come to light.

TRP scam: BARC ex-CEO named in 2nd chargesheet | India News

MUMBAI: The ex-CEO of Broadcast Audience Research Council, Partho Dasgupta, misused his official position, connived with other accused, including Republic TV’s Arnab Goswami, and thus manipulated TRP ratings, bringing Republic TV to the number 1 position, a supplementary chargesheet submitted by Mumbai police in the TRP scam said.
The chargesheet, which runs into 3,600 pages, has shown Republic TV’s COO Priya Mukherjee, its chief financial officer Shiva Sundaram and employees Shivendu Mulherkar and Ranjit Walter, among others, as wanted accused. Apart from this, Amit Dave, Sanjeev Verma and other officials of Mahamovies channel are also shown as wanted accused.
The city crime branch probing the TRP manipulation scam on Monday submitted the supplementary chargesheet in the case against Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani, former BARC COO Romil Ramgarhia and Partho Dasgupta. ....
