In 2019, President Trump announced a challenge to lower HIV case rates by 75% by 2025 and 90% by 2030. It was and is an ambitious goal, but a local team has a plan that focuses on diminishing stigma and increased testing.
New HIV/AIDS case numbers continue to rise in Florida, the state with the second-greatest total of new cases. Central Florida's Orange County has the third-highest total in Florida, but local experts believe they may have found a way to stop case numbers from growing and — diminishing the stigma surrounding the epidemic.
