Intensive interaction for children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities: the INTERACT trial
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Jill Bradshaw and the Interact Trial Team describe the INTERACT trial, which is registered at the ISRCTN registry. The trial is testing an approach called Intensive Interaction and is looking at whether Intensive Interaction provided within educational settings and at home is a clinically effective and cost-effective way of improving communication skills in children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.
