Sarah Townsend Salford City Council has approved the regeneration framework for the 250-acre site, and developer English Cities Fund will soon be compelled to submit a business plan for the first component within the next six months. Small Slough town centre car park transformed into new homes

car park has been transformed into affordable homes for residents on the housing list to move into. Delivered by Slough Urban Renewal, a partnership between the council and Muse Developments, the former Alpha Street North car park, which provided 12 spaces, was developed to provide six one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom flats. The social houses will be managed by James Elliman Homes Ltd on the council’s behalf and will be allocated to residents on the waiting list. Construction of the Alpha Street apartments started back in 2019 and was built by LifeBuild.
