Students in the Opera Program at the University of North Florida tackle La finta giardiniera, which Mozart wrote when he was just 18 years old. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Coxwell Pavilion Stage on the UNF campus. The shows are free, and can also be watched via livestream on the UNF School of Music s YouTube page.

We could all use a chuckle, and there are two options in the Jacksonville area this weekend. James Gregory, billed as the funniest man in America, is at the Thrasher-Horne Center in Orange Park for a limited-capacity show at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $55-$95. Dom Irrera, who has been doing standup for decades and appeared in everything from Seinfeld to The Big Lebowski, is at the Comedy Zone in Mandarin at 7 p.m. Friday and 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday. $20-$25. ....
