(NCCA TWITTER / MANILA BULLETIN) Through the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ (NCCA) National Committee on Music (NCMusic), in partnership with St. Paul University, the online concert dubbed “Musikapuluan Pintigan: Serye ng Konsiyerto para sa Buwan ng Sining” will showcase a variety of musical cultures in the Philippines from indigenous, to contemporary and progressive music. “Inspired by the musical landscape of the Philippines as an archipelagic country, Musikapuluan Pintigan seeks to capture the different beats and musical cultures of the country,” the NCCA said. The concert will premier on February 21 and will run for four consecutive Sundays until March 14. It will feature the eight musical annotated performances of the eight living cultures of the Philippines based on a study conducted by NCMusic head Felipe De Leon. ....
