NAB records nine statements in sugar scandal probe Jun 3, 2021 RAWALPINDI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recorded nine important statements in connection with the investigation into the sugar scandal, ARY News reported on Thursday. The anti-corruption watchdog’s Rawalpindi office recorded the statement of former commerce secretary Younus Dagha after being questioned for sugar exports. It was learnt that Younus Dagha was also questioned regarding the decisions taken in inter-ministry meetings and the finalisation of sugar prices in local and international markets. The investigators had also recorded the statement of former commerce minister Pervaiz Malik, whereas former provincial minister Samiullah Chaudhry, Mohsin Leghari, Mian Aslam Iqbal were also part of the investigation. ....
Daily Times NAB summons Nawaz Sharif s aide, others in sugar scandal probe 36 bank accounts belonging to Jahangir Tareen, family frozen April 10, 2021 The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday issued a notice to PTI MNA Nasrullah Khan Dreshak’s Indus Sugar Mills as the agency takes forward its investigation into last year’s sugar scandal, a private TV channel reported. The sugar mills’ administration has been summoned on April 15, with the FIA demanding it present records from 2020-21 during the appearance. Apart from this, the FIA has asked the Indus Sugar Mills to also present records submitted to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The FIA also sought records of sugar sold and booked through “satta” (price-fixing through collusion) along with details of brokers and dealers, the TV channel reported.
