Myanmar protesters find sanctuary with rebel groups
The violent crackdown on dissent by Myanmar's military is forcing protesters to seek shelter with armed ethnic groups that have been fighting the army for years — groups such as the Karen National Liberation Army, which is based in southeastern Kayin state on the border with Thailand.

New Delhi: Several prominent women rights advocates from all walks of life in India have released a statement urging the Myanmar military to release journalist and activist Thin Thin Aung and other illegally detained pro-democracy protesters.
In an appeal, both to the military which assumed power since the coup and to the international community including transnational business stakeholders, the activists have urged that the brutal violence perpetrated on protesters in Myanmar end and people’s rights be restored.

Myanmar opposition declares Constitution "dead," announces new one
Anti-coup protesters returned to the streets across Myanmar on Thursday, with some burning copies of the 2008 Constitution that guarantees the military's role in politics, a day after pro-democracy forces announced a provisional charter in its place.
The opposition group called the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, or CRPH, which consists mostly of members of ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy and fashions itself as a provisional government, also announced the rescinding of the 2008 Constitution.

Myanmar protesters gather near U.S. Embassy while Blinken in Tokyo
Myanmar protesters gathered Wednesday near the U.S. Embassy during U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Tokyo, calling on the international community for stronger action against last month's military coup in the Southeast Asian country.
"Reject military coup," nearly 100 demonstrators, mostly Myanmar residents of Japan, chanted a day after Blinken and his Japanese counterpart, Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, shared strong concerns about Myanmar's bloody crackdown on peaceful protesters following the Feb. 1 coup.
