Alabama News Summer School is normally held for those select few kids that need a bit more help catching up on their education. Since the pandemic had many students sitting at home. This year’s summer program has been opened up to all MPS students who would like to attend. Even though this is not a regular school year, it may feel that way to the students. Alabama News The city of Tallassee is planning to give the old mount Vernon mill property a new purpose… The mill burned down in 2016, and Monday night the city held a workshop to get ideas about what to do with it, now that the city owns the property. The mill caught fire back in 2016 and since then the property has been vacant. Now the City of Tallassee is deciding what to do with the land. Today the Riverwalk stadium is hosting the AHSAA Baseball Playoffs which is drawing a pretty big crowd to the area. We asked residents how it feels this time of year compared to last year and if it seems like things are getting back to normal.
