Unofficial results of the Smith County joint city elections are starting to come in. Voters in three Smith County cities are deciding who should represent them. In Tyler, three candidates vie for the District 2 council seat, currently held by longtime councilmember Broderick McGee, whose term is expiring. In Arp, the current mayor faces a challenger. In Lindale, results of a contested council race will determine who represents Place 2.
