A 24-year-old man was found guilty of murder and several other offenses for his role in a 2019 shooting at a Glen Burnie pool party, according to the Anne Arundel State’s Attorney’s Office.

Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess announced today that Erickson Recinos, 36, of Lanham was sentenced to five years suspend all but 18 months for one count of second degree assault on Anne Arundel County Police Officer Erica Magnuson and one count of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The State’s Attorney’s Office had sought a sentence of 3 years’ incarceration for the assault on the officer and a one year sentence for the driving under the influence charge, to run concurrently.
UPDATE 8/26/2021: Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess announced today that Danny Norris, 57, of Pasadena was sentenced to 25 years in prison suspend all but 12 years of active incarceration and five years of supervised probation in the death of his 91-year-old father, Elmer Norris. The defendant entered a guilty plea to second degree murder on August 16, 2021.
A 21-year-old Severn man was sentenced to 28 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree attempted murder and use of a handgun in a crime of violence.
