Jim Cramer Recommends Buying SPAC-Target Grab at Lower Price Levels

Card image cap

Grab, an app that offers transportation, food delivery, hotel bookings and other services, is set to merge with Altimeter Growth for $39.6 billion in the world's largest blank-check deal to date.
"I don't love the price right now, but if you wait for some weakness, and there probably will be, you've got my permission to do some buying," the "Mad Money" host said.
Cramer said the stock would be more attractive under $11.50, about 20% lower.
"The thing about Grab… it's a great company, but it's also totally out of style with the Wall Street fashion show," he added. "It's a rapidly growing digital play at a time when money managers want smokestack stocks."

Why Tesla stock dropped on Monday

Why Tesla stock dropped on Monday

More on:
What Happened
Shares of
Tesla(NASDAQ: TSLA) were hit hard on Monday. As of 10:30 a.m. EDT, the stock was down 5.3%.
The growth stock's decline is likely due to two primary factors, including a car crash over the weekend involving a Tesla and a generally bearish day in the overall stock market -- particularly for growth stocks.
So what
Two men died in a car crash involving a Tesla this weekend. There was no one in the driver's seat, according to Mark Herman, Harris County, Texas, Precinct 4 Constable. One person was believed to be in the front passenger's seat and the other was sitting in the back of the vehicle, Herman told

Investors Are Poorly Prepared for Inflation, All-Star Money Manager Rich Bernstein Warns

Card image cap

"Think about what people love. They love long-duration equities right now," the CEO and CIO of Richard Bernstein Advisors told CNBC's "Trading Nation" on Monday. "That shows that people are kind of ill-prepared for this higher inflation."
He worries investors are forgetting that long-duration equities or growth stocks traditionally perform like 30-year Treasury notes. So, they're typically a smarter investment during bearish economic outlooks — not when growth is abundant.
"When you start to see interest rates go up and you start to get people more optimistic on the economy, then those groups start underperforming," said Bernstein. "What's the probability we're going to get higher inflation than people think? We think the probability of that happening is quite high."

The New Cantaloupe Looks for Renewed Growth in Vending And Adjacent Unattended Payments Markets – Digital Transactions

Card image cap

April 19, 2021
With its name change having become official Monday, Cantaloupe Inc. is looking to start a new chapter in the company’s history as it embarks on a strategy to penetrate new segments of the unattended retail market and grow its business internationally. As part of the change from USA Technologies Inc., which was first announced in
November, Cantaloupe relisted its ticker symbol on the Nasdaq exchange as CTLP.
One of the driving factors behind the name change, says Cantaloupe chief executive
Sean Feeney, who was named CEO in May 2020, was a desire to put the negative baggage associated with the USAT brand in the rearview mirror and reboot the company’s image. USAT’s brand had been tarnished by a series of missteps, including a delay in filing its annual report in September 2018, while its board of directors investigated customer contracts and how business was booked. The company even engaged in a proxy fight with its largest stockholder.

Top Penny Stocks This Week? 3 To Watch During Crypto Boom | FinancialContent Business Page

Are Penny Stocks Affected by Cryptocurrency Swings?
Penny stocks have become extremely popular throughout the past few years. The term “penny stocks” refers to any stocks trading under $5 per share. Investors often ask themselves, why invest in penny stocks? Well, because they are relatively cheap, they provide an interesting entry point that investors could use to their advantage.
Despite risk being a big factor to consider, the large swings that we see with penny stocks can potentially deliver sizable gains. This, of course, depends on the individual trader and how much time they are spending on research and education. While it’s not common to see a stock go from $100 to $200 in a single day, we do see penny stocks move from $0.10 to $0.20 for example, quite often.

However, the company said it would remain headquartered in Australia and set no timeline for a board decision on the listing.

Elsewhere, Afterpay provided a quarterly update: underlying sales were up 104 per cent in the third quarter of FY21 against the prior comparable period.

Stocks Slide to Start the Week

Provided by
Dow Jones
By Anna Hirtenstein and Akane Otani
U.S. stocks slipped Monday, dragged down by losses across everything from technology shares to retail stocks.
Investors started the week on a somewhat cautious note. A string of blue-chip companies are scheduled to report earnings this week and will offer a view on businesses' expectations for the pace of economic revival. Money managers are looking to gauge whether stocks' high valuations are justified after the Dow and S&P 500 hit closing records last week.
"After a big move, you get a pause of breath and a bit of a reassessment, " said Caroline Simmons, U.K. chief investment officer at UBS Asset Management. "People are reassessing, waiting for news flow that might indicate that growth and inflation remain on track."
