Tom Cole gives up Grinnell honorary degree amid backlash over Electoral College objection

Ms. Harris said the school received a petition asking for Mr. Cole’s honorary degree, awarded in 2016, to be revoked in response to his objection to certifying the election results. She said the board of trustees was prepared to review the matter but said he offered to give up the honorary degree the next day. “On Monday, Rep.
