Show Transcript ALBA MULLEN SAYS SHE KNEW FROM A YOUNG AGE SHE WANTED TO BECOME A NURSE MY GODMOTHER WAS A NURSE AND I GREW UP WITH HER AND I SAW HOW MUCH SATISFACTION THE PROFESSION BROUGHT INTO HE LIFE BUT WHEN SHE MOVED TO BOSTON FROM COSTA RICA 6 YEARS AGO SHE FOUND NAVIGATING THE EDUCATION PROCESS A BIT DAUNTING. YES I WANTED TO COME STUDY BUT I DIDNT KNOW HOW IT WAS ALL GOING TO WORKOUT FOR ME BECAUS I DIDNT KNOW HOW I WAS GOING TO PAY FOR SCHOOL. WITH THE HELP OF BRIGHAM AND WOMEN’S HOSPITAL ALBA WAS AB TO GET THE NESKEY SCHOLARSHIP WHILE WORKING AS A PATIENT CARE ASSOCIATE. IT WAS LIFE CHANGING. ITS BEEN SUCH A GREAT OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE FINANCIALLY IT’S NOT A CONCERN ANYMORE. NOW, SHE’S ABLE TO FOCUS ON GETTING HER MASTERS DEGREE, JUST 5 MONTHS AFTER GRADUATING AND 3 MONTHS INTO HER
