The newly formed victim specialists unit at Central Bucks Regional Police will help additional victims soon.
Starting next month, specialists Elizabeth Leone and Karen Edwards will be providing victims assistance to Doylestown Township, which has its own police force.
“I just wanted to expand our services to include a little more for our victims, Township Police Chief Dean Logan said.
The unit, which formed late last year, was created to guide victims through the criminal justice system and help connect them with resources. The three-year pilot program, which is based at Central Bucks Regional Police, also services Buckingham and Plumstead police departments.
