Professor M Rafiqul Islam has been declared a Professor Emeritus of Macquarie University at its 498th Council Meeting held on 10 December, 2020. The Council members resolved unanimously to confer upon Professor M Rafiqul Islam the title of Emeritus Professor at Macquarie University. This is in recognition of his proactive teaching, outstanding research contributions, and the best higher degree research supervisor and administrator. This is a life-long affiliation and honour for his 30 years of active services, commitments, and loyalty to the university. Formerly, Professor Islam was the Chairman of Department of Law, Rajshahi University and also served different universities at home and abroad as a guest Professor.
