(Photo by Kirk Gentalen) Naturalist Kirk Gentalen will lead an online webinar titled “Fishers Are King” on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 12 p.m., hosted by Merryspring Nature Center. “Fishers Are King” marks the third chapter in a trilogy of wildlife appreciation talks presented by Gentalen and Maine Coast Heritage Trust. Following his talks “Owls Are Easy” and “Otters Are Easier,” “Fishers Are King” will dive head-first into what makes the fisher a favorite (and least favorite) member of the weasel family. Personal stories, photos, and videos will accompany Gentalen’s talk as he explores the natural history of fishers in Midcoast Maine. ....
