Clyde Walkway to benefit from £20k revamp THE CLYDE Walkway is to benefit from a £20,000 revamp. The Clydeside route will be given a new wooden boardwalk and stile replacements with self-closing gates to make access easier for walkers. It comes as part of a £111,000 fund from NatureScot to improve path networks across Scotland. The West Highland Way, which begins close to Glasgow, is also set to coin-in from the cash. Bridget Jones, NatureScot Recreation and Paths Manager, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated more than ever before how important a nature-rich environment is for our physical and mental wellbeing. “It’s encouraging that we have seen an increase in the number of people enjoying the outdoors over the past 12 months but at NatureScot we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to access these benefits. ....
