The Delhi High Court Thursday granted time to the family of a 25-year-old farmer, who died after his tractor overturned during the farmers’ protest rally on the Republic Day, to seek opinion of experts on his post mortem and X-Ray reports.
Justice Yogesh Khanna also asked the Delhi Police to allow the family to view the CCTV footage of the spot where the incident took place, whenever they want to.
The court listed the matter for further hearing on July 26.

On 9 March 2021, the Special Task Force of the Enforcement Directorate in Delhi conducted raids at the Chandigarh residence of Sukhpal Singh Khaira, a former member of the legislative assembly from the Aam Aadmi Party. Khaira has previously served as the leader of opposition in the Punjab state assembly. The timing of the raids raise questions about the motivation behind them. Amritsar: Strongly opposing the move to suppress minorities in India, including the Sikhs, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), the apex body controlling gurdwaras, passed a resolution condemning the alleged moves made by the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) to make the country a “Hindu rashtra”.
It also called on the Central government to work for the protection of the rights and freedom of religion of all religions instead of being “ready to implement the efforts initiated by the RSS”. All those elements which try to suppress the minorities should be punished, the resolution sought.
