Nebraska City's Nancy Hoch dies

nancy hoch of nebraska city dies at age 84
Nancy Hoch, who spent most of her life living in and advocating for Nebraska City, and who ran for U.S. Senate and Nebraska Governor in the 1980s, has died at the age of 84.
Hoch served twelve years on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents, including a run as the board's chairwoman. She also served as President of Nebraska City's River Country Economic Development Corporation, and as a board member of the Nebraska Community Foundation, the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, and the Nebraska City Housing Task Force. In addition, she was a former president of the Nebraska City Public Library Board.
