'We got two bites of the cherry,' says Toffee Shop in Penrith boss as he appears on James Martin's ITV cookery show
A TOFFEE Shop has appeared on James Martin's Saturday Morning ITV show. Neil Boustead, owner of The Toffee Shop in Penrith, appeared on the show after Mr Martin was making a chocolate fudge cake which was topped with fudge from the shop. Mr Boustead was interviewed live on the show via a video link. Talking to Mr Martin live, Mr Boustead said: "It [the shop] was originally started by an old lady called Mrs Furness, she started it down at the other end of Penrith about 110-years-ago. "It's been in two families since then. I've been doing it for about 40 years now."
