On Monday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received Outgoing Commander HMAS Moreton, Commander Fiona Southwood RAN and Incoming Commander, Rosemarie Apikotoa RAN.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted an afternoon tea in support of International Volunteer Day 2023, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie. The Governor granted Royal Assent to four Bills: Emblems of Queensland and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2023, Information Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2023, Public Records Bill 2023 and Victims of Crime Assistance and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2023.

In the evening, at the Gallery of Modern Art, South Brisbane, Her Excellency attended the 2023 Cabinet Christmas Reception.

On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received Clerk of Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie for the presentation of two Bills for Assent: A bill for an Act to consolidate and provide for the law relating to property, and to amend this Act, the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997, the Building Units and Group Titles Act 1980, the Land Title Act 1994, the Limitation of Actions Act 1974, the Property Occupations Act 2014 and the Acts mentioned in schedule 3 for particular purposes, and to repeal the Property Law Act 1974 and a bill for an Act to regulate the operation of tow trucks to remove motor vehicles from private property and damaged and seized motor vehicles, to amend this Act, the Photo Identification Card Act 2008, the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, the State Penalties Enforcement Act 1999, the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994, the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 and the Transport Planning and Coordination Act 1994 for particular purposes, and to repeal the Tow Truck Act 1973.
