Perrier says Energize is “powered by the effervescent spirit of mineral water from France, and plant-based caffeine from organic Green Coffee and Yerba Mate extracts.” Energize is certified organic and comes in three flavors - pomegranate, grapefruit and tangerine - and each can has the same amount of caffeine as 8 ounces of coffee. “For Perrier, a brand known for its uplifting refreshment, the move to the functional beverage space felt like a natural extension, and we are excited to introduce a new low-calorie option powered by plant-based caffeine that differentiates us from competitors,” said Thomas Conquet, marketing director, Nestle Premium Waters, Nestle USA.
