It is well known that women living with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are at but the impact of depressive symptoms on antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence and viral suppression (VS) during pregnancy, and the postpartum period, is less clear. A multi-center group of researchers analyzed longitudinal data from 1,869 women enrolled in the International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trial Network (IMPAACT) P1025 Perinatal Core Protocol (2002-2013).
