The Environment Agency is consulting on Biffa’s plans for a 50,000 tonne commercial and industrial waste transfer station near Coventry.
Biffa and Leicestershire council have signed a contract for the treatment of residual waste which could be worth as much as £650 million.
Biffa posted has posted a trading update where it said an easing of the HGV driver shortage means trading is "in line with expectations".
