Thought at least a 72 died of either hiv or of complications linked normally to viral hepatitis, probably hepatitis c. around 32 or 36 are still alive and the rest were not quite sure about. i should mention something on the school. the boys were being treated as the nhs haemophilia centre within the school, so the staff were not actually working for the school itself and the boys i spoke to last week went back to the school and spent some time with three of them and they were complimentary about the care they received there from the care they received there from the teachers, nurses, so does not necessarily a criticism of the school itself that we are going to be hearing this week. i think there s a feeling that people there very much did everything they could. and finally, about the public enquiry itself, long awaited by many, many people, and the idea is to find out how this happened and also was, did the nhs or did medics at the time now that something was wrong with this drug? and ....
