But the Renegades completed the rest of the list in the last week, hosting and winning their first MINK League playoff game, winning their first South Division championship to punch their ticket to their first Championship Series and they capped it off by knocking off the three-time defending champion St. Joseph Mustangs to claim their first league title.

Panagos tossed a complete-game shutout Saturday night against the three-time defending MINK League champion St. Joseph Mustangs, sending the Renegades to their first ever MINK League title with a 4-0 victory in Game 3 of the Championship Series at Phil Welch Stadium.

The Renegades punched their ticket by claiming the South Division championship Tuesday at the Joplin Outlaws, jumping out to a big lead early and then holding on late for a 9-5 victory.

The plan for Saturday night’s game against the Joplin Outlaws changed Saturday morning when the Jefferson City Renegades found out they did not hold the potential tiebreaker against the Outlaws. Instead of business as usual, the Renegades used Saturday’s contest to knock some rust off for the guys who have not seen as much playing time lately as the team prepares for the start of the MINK League playoffs Monday.
