River Valley student hosting livestock show people with disabilities
Kyla Stockdale has participated in the Marion County Fair since she was a child, showing off her dairy feeders or dairy heifers in the livestock competitions. Now, the 17-year-old wants to help others have those same experiences. Stockdale is organizing the Open Hearts Livestock Show for this year's fair, which is exclusively for participants with developmental disabilities. The show is open to anyone in the community from ages 8 to 21 and will include presenting pigs, rabbits and/or goats. Open Hearts will take place July 2.
