The Greater Manchester Police, Crime and Fire Panel approved the proposed increase at a meeting on Friday. Those living in Band D household will have to pay £10 a year while residents in Band B properties will need to pay £7.77 extra. Funds to train a total of 325 new officers will be allocated.
